Marco Schiavon, Ph.D.
Marco Schiavon, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Horticulture Department, University of Florida at the Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center. He earned his bachelors in Agronomical Sciences and masters in Agronomy both from University of Padua, Italy, and Ph.D. in Agronomy from New Mexico State University. His primary research interests include potable water conservation for irrigating turfgrass areas, salinity management, physiology of turfgrass in response to drought stress. Schiavon has published more than 40 refereed journal articles and has taught both seminars and webinars for GCSAA.
