GCSAA Services Booth 3617

Have you been curious about First Green, but aren’t sure what it takes to get a field trip going at your golf course? Swing by the GCSAA Services area from 10:15 a.m. – 11 a.m. to listen to three speakers share their unique experiences in planning, preparing and hosting a First Green field trip. From how to connect with a school, to where to set up the learning stations and recruiting volunteers for the field trip – the speakers will share practical, first- hand tips and best practices that you can use.

Enjoy the First Green Cookie and Coffee Break and listen to your colleagues share their First Time Host tips and experiences. GCSAA staff and First Green Liaisons will be in the member services area to answer any questions you may have regarding First Green.

First Green is a science, technology, engineering, creative arts and math (STEAM) environmental outreach program that uses your golf course as a learning laboratory. K-12 students participate in hands-on, outdoor learning stations that include lessons on wildlife habitat, soil science, environmental sustainability, mathematics, water quality, water conservation, career exploration and much more.
