Sandra E Glegola
Sandra Glegola has been the Turfgrass Specialist at University of California, Riverside since 2019. Her focus is on conservation strategies for turfgrass areas, including, but not limited to, the use of drought-resistant cultivars, deficit irrigation, and the application of wetting agents. Glegola was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Horticulture at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland. Additionally, she is involved in developing water conservation strategies for turf while maintaining acceptable grass quality, investigating the effects of wetting agents and plant growth regulators on drought management, examining drought impacts on turfgrass physiology, and managing turfgrass diseases and weeds by testing new and existing pesticides for the golf and landscape industry.
