Ming-Yi Chou, Ph.D.

Ming-Yi Chou, Ph.D., is an Assistant Extension Specialist and Professor in Turfgrass Pathology in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University. Dr. Chou earned his bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University, and Ph.D. in horticultural biology from Cornell University. His extension activities focus on evaluating and developing efficient transition zone turfgrass disease management measures, including cultural practices, disease prediction models, synthetic fungicides, and biological agents. His research focuses on plant-soil-microbiome interactions in turfgrass, with an emphasis on how these interactions and coevolution collectively contribute to disease suppression.
