James Brecker
Jim Brecker has been a Member of Applebrook Golf Club for over twenty years. His professional career includes more than forty years in the commercial construction industry, working for companies in the Northern California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania areas. For thirty-five years, Brecker worked for Irwin & Leighton Inc. in King of Prussia, Pa., and was the company's President and CEO for thirty of those years. Irwin & Leighton was founded in 1909, and primarily works as a Construction Manager or General Contractor for major corporations and institutions such as Princeton University, Walmart, and General Electric. Many of its projects are complex and unique, requiring in-depth control of quality, cost, and schedule. Brecker is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pa. His background includes three years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Jim and his wife Diane are Florida residents. They have four children, eight grandchildren, and a dog named Max.
