Rick T Mooney, III

Rick Mooney, originally from Weiser, Idaho, is a proud third-generation Idahoan who now calls McCall, Idaho his home. Rick began his journey at Whitetail Club 22 years ago as a project manager, golf course supervisor, and maintenance facilitator before his promotion in 2018 to his current role as Vice president of Maintenance and Development. Rick oversees golf course and facility maintenance across the Shore Lodge and Whitetail Club properties. His role involves daily oversight of vendor requests, capital improvements, and ensuring the facilities and properties are maintained to the highest quality standards. With over 30 years in the golf course maintenance industry and a Golf Course Management certificate from Michigan State University, Rick brings a wealth of experience to his role. He has also been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) for three decades. In 2020, Rick was honored as the Golfdom‘s Business Person of the Year, receiving the Herb Graffis Award. Additionally, this past year, GCSAA awarded Rick’s trusted companion, Wilson, the title of Dog of the Year in the 2024 LebanonTurf Product’s Dog Days of Golf calendar. While Rick is thankful for the accolades he has received over the years, his family is the anchor of his life. He is a proud father to his three kids: Quinn, Cael, who is studying mechanical engineering, and Payton, who is pursuing her degree in structural engineering. He is also close to his father and brother, who are part of Whitetail Club. Outside of the office, Rick enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending quality time with his loved ones, often near the river or lake. Rick is committed to growth and development for those that surround him and his team.
