Shawn D Askew, Ph.D.
Shawn Askew, Ph.D., obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Mississippi State University and Ph.D. at North Carolina State University. He now serves as the Extension Turfgrass Weed Scientist for Virginia and Associate Professor at Virginia Tech's Department of Plant Pathology, Physiology, and Weed Science. Since 2001, Dr. Askew has provided statewide leadership in the development and dissemination of weed control programs for turfgrass and has coordinated the Phytochemistry and Radioactive Materials laboratory and Virginia's Weed Identification Clinic.
