C. Luke Bennett
Aloha ‘aina – to love and respect the land – is Luke Bennett’s calling. Bennett serves as Golf Course Superintendent at Kohanaiki Golf Course, an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary Certified Golf Course since 2014. Tasked with maintaining one of the most amazing golf courses and properties in the world, Bennett structures his job around his profound respect for Kohanaiki, its core values, and the Big Island. A Colorado native, he graduated with a bachelor’s in Turfgrass Management from Colorado State University and has worked at renowned private courses throughout Colorado and Northern California. Bennett is thankful to be in Hawaii and for his success in the turf industry since his early days of caddying for the likes of John Elway. He is currently on the board of the Big Island Golf Course Superintendents Association.
