Carey A Hofner

Carey Hofner is the golf course superintendent at the Club at Cordillera in Edwards, Colo. She earned her bachelors at The Ohio State University and masters in turfgrass management from Penn State University. Hofner was previously employed as an assistant golf course superintendent for eight years before her superintendent left. She took over that superintendent role, quickly found it was not the right fit for her and resigned. She moved to the assistant position at Cordillera for three years before transitioning to superintendent, bringing with her experience and knowledge from those previous positions. Hofner has taken what she learned, mistakes and all, and has gone from doing to managing and more. Hofner takes pride in her education and career. She completed the Green Start Academy program and the EXCEL Leadership program in 2020 and participated in Bayer Women in Golf in both 2019 and 2020. Hofner is currently enrolled in a Business Management Graduate Certificate Program. She has served on numerous Rocky Mountain GCSA and GCSAA task groups and committees.
