Frank Rossi, Ph.D.
Frank S. Rossi, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Cornell University. He received a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Rhode Island and his Ph.D. from Cornell University. Rossi’s research interests include resource efficient turfgrass management, turfgrass ecology and cultural and environmental stress management. His university appointment consists of 40% teaching, 20% research and 40% extension. Rossi’s excellence in the turf industry has been well-documented through numerous awards he has received, including the NYS Excellence in IPM Award, the GIE Media Most Influential People in Green Industry Award and the 2001 40 Most Influential in Golf Under the Age of 40 Award. In addition to participation in many state and regional turf conferences, Rossi has also taught various turfgrass and educational subjects in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, England, Slovenia and Italy. He has been a GCSAA faculty member since 1996. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, competing in Triathlons and maintaining a farm of Alpacas and Kune Kune Pigs.
