Jason M Fontana, CTEM
A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Jason Fontana, CTEM, entered the golf world during the summer of 1994 at a local golf course in Northern Arizona. He quickly fell in love with golf and began the journey of working almost any position at any course. This pursuit took Fontana to some great golf courses throughout the Western US, including the deserts and the mountains of Arizona, the mountains outside of Reno, Nev., and the great Pacific Northwest. After settling as a head mechanic for many years, Fontana decided to try being a superintendent. He took turf classes at Penn State World Campus, interned in Phoenix, and soon became an assistant super and eventually superintendent for a short time, also in Arizona. In his 29-year career of great opportunities Fontana finds himself back in the shop currently, as proud CTEM of Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
