Developing Effective Golf Course Fungicide Programs with Low Environmental Impact

Monday, February 3
8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Registration Required

Delve into disease management strategies through a lens of fungicide efficacy and environmental impact, explore how to optimize cultural practices to enhance turfgrass health and craft disease control programs that utilize targeted fungicide applications for improved effectiveness and reduced environmental footprint. We’ll introduce you to the Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ) as a crucial tool for pesticide selection, guiding efforts to minimize environmental impact and tracking progress over time. Work together in small groups in this hands-on, interactive seminar. Bring your device to participate actively in using a customized spreadsheet to calculate the Field Use Environmental Impact Quotient (FUEIQ) for actual fungicide programs. This practical exercise will empower attendees to compute the FUEIQ for their own golf courses, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship in turfgrass management.
