Launching a First Green Field Trip is Easier Than You Think! presented in partnership with HELENA
Monday, February 3
8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Registration Required
First Green is an innovative environmental and STEAM education outreach program that seeks to attract young minds to the Science, Technology, Engineering, Creative Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) that occurs every day in golf course management. While First Green field trips are designed for students at all grade levels, this interactive experience will focus on high school students.
We will begin the day with a 45-minute overview of First Green, tips for launching your own field trip and how to engage with teachers in your community. We will then travel to Bonita Golf Couse where students from El Capitan High School’s Agriculture Chemistry class will join us to participate in four learning stations. Experienced First Green hosts will be on hand to lead the stations and interact with the students. Attendees will be able to rotate among the stations and observe the field trip.
It's a great way to learn more about First Green without having to conduct your own field trip. Join us as we make an impact on the future of the golf industry, while also learning about the ways GCSAA has made it “easy” to organize and host a field trip at your golf facility.
