(1343-01) We have some new solutions to an old problem – annual bluegrass seedheads. Any superintendents struggling with seedhead control will not want to miss these new research-based strategies to get the most out of chemical seedhead control efforts. This presentation includes new strategies for a more comprehensive seedhead management, seedhead control and turf safety from the intermountain west and northeast U.S. regions will be discussed. Attendees will learn how to: integrate new strategies to improve seedhead control, explain why genetics climate are integral components to manage seedheads, and implement practices using new nutrition and cultivation impacting seedhead development.
